However, in the past week, i have noticed that there have been a lot of angry posts that have spoilt what have been otherwise reasonable and interesting discussions. Some such posts seem to take the form of generalised attacks as with the post i have quoted above - i would like to point out that up until that point, no-one had 'screamed or shouted' and the discussion had been perfectly reasonable. Sometimes the attacks are more personal as in the "Disrespecting my Master' thread where a noticeable minority seemed to take pleasure in slating the OP and adopting a 'holier than thou' attitude, though fortunately the majority of posters were far more understanding and helpful. It seems to me that such posts as the one quoted above are in reality simply an opportunity for people to force their personal issues on others in ways that are designed to provoke negative reactions. i am all for freedom of speech but am dismayed that people feel the need to spoil helpful discussions which so many people can learn from by being deliberately confrontational.
