Last summer, a friend of mine in The Netherlands offered to take my girl and a class of about four or five others for a couple of weeks of residential training. However, I couldn't put the class together, so nothing came of it. Wim is a well-known dom in The Netherlands and has an incredible facility in the north of the country. He wanted to have a fairly individualized "course" for each of the students which could include or exclude sexual service. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Tom

The Estate is a bit of an unusual case. It's been around since 1998ish, and early on they set out an ambitious programme of developing training systems for slaves, and expected to have slaves trained for third-parties out there in the scene helping to promote the whole idea by the qualities they displayed.

However, as far as I'm aware, no one has graduated from the Estate. In fact, the whole thing has always been a virtual entity, without shared premises (one of them was living with his parents at one point I believe.)

From what I've heard, the Estate is the brainchild of Flagg, who has been critically ill for the past several years, and unable to bring the brainchild to fruition. He's come close to death a couple of times, apparently, and may not be long for this world. So it may be up to other people to actually carry it on.

Joshua and I were on a workshop panel on 24/7 D/s with a couple who'd sent the bottom for training there. She talked about it, and reported that it had been excellent for her; apparently her course of training was created custom for her, so there was no "graduation" per se; her Daddy just wanted her to learn XYZ and they taught that. She didn't go through the "regular" slave course. But that was some years back; don't know much about what's going on now except that Flagg's illness may have called everything to a halt.

Flagg...off topic but is there another usage of that word unrelated to the omnipresent stephen king villain?

i was wondering if anyone here is familiar with slave schools? i have heard several people mention to me having been trained in one of several slave schools that are located across the country, but that is all of the information i got. i am more curious than anything about these houses. Are they underground so that the vanilla world does not know about them? Are they legal? Is there a price for admittance or some kind of test one must take to gain admittance? i find the entire concept very interesting. Has anyone here heard of these or has anyone here been trained in a slave school?

The only thing that comes to my mind is that I remember reading in Christina Abernathy's books that she had both training program and a correspondence course for would be slaves. If you would like, I can go look them up.

Can you expand on that?

Do they resemble this?

As opposed to weekend events like Master Taino's which really do exist.

I know of a few people who have tried to organize a "slave training" school; one in particular.

This person (I'm not going to name them--they don't need any more exposure, negative or not) claimed to have been trained by an "old school Master". As I know the man who was basically her first dominant, I highly doubt it; he was about as old school as my old aunt Harriot.

As a matter of fact, he was surprised to hear he was "old school", and wished he'd known that. In the mean time, this person has gathered somewhat of a following--all spouting how their submission is a gift, etc. And not knowing anything that couldn't be found online, which is where she got the majority of her information.

I'm afraid that many are of this calibre, unfortunately. I really wish there were places like "The Marketplace", but it's just a fantasy.

I've met some who claim to be slave trainers, but they ended up being users and liars. Blech.

I think it could be useful to have someone train a slave to be like a geisha--entertainer, servant extraordinaire; I don't know that there would be any money in it. Besides, there are schools for butlers, I'd suppose, which would accomplish the same thing.

shorn would be there in a flash.

shorn and some friends did have a pony school a couple of summers ago, but that was just some friends who were all interested trying to learn. Mostly we like the neat harness, and our men like it even more.
