I contacted a proffesional and he informed me that the barcode as made by SLRN is very difficult to do and if I want to use all the stripes the dimension needs to be at least 8 cm * 8 cm. My Mistress wants a smaller tattoo so I was wondering if there is a right way to use less stripes but with the right meaning of my number. I do not want to tattoo a barcode without a meaning, it has to refer to my number. Maybe with losing the prefix and only using my number 740-139-157. Where can I find the barcode that refers to this number? Thanks for advice ...... Photo's will follow once it is done 20 Nov 07, 6:55 PM 833-743-652 UK, 2 yrs  GS1 are the barcode people: http://www.gs1uk.org/ There are other types of barcodes you can have that, with a little maths, can have the same number meaning, but have different number of stripes e.g. converting an ean to upc. Maybe something along those lines could help! 22 Nov 07, 6:47 AM AnonMoos US, 20 mths  Not sure I understand the appeal of barcodes myself, since to me they have strong connotations of the generic and impersonal -- it brings to mind the mid-1980's, when in some U.S. supermarkets you could buy "generic" off-brand items such as canned peas etc., which had labels consisting mainly of "PEAS" written in a simple sans-serif font on an unadorned plain white background, accompanied by a prominently displayed barcode.... At first i was very disappointed but i am very happy with my SLRN tattoo. A small bar code will blur and become ugly, unless as you say, you reduce the number of stripes. After much consideration we lost the barcode altogether and just tattoo'd SLRN and my number on the back of my neck. He wanted it there as opposed to anywhere else. And the important things were that it looked nice and had my number. Didn't really need the stripes to do that. i am sure you could FIND a tatoo artist who would do it, but yes, it must be BIG to be done properly. Not that there is anything wrong with big if you have a suitable location picked out. Best of luck, i feel my tattoo is one of the best experiences that have brought my Master and i closer. 15 Dec 07, 7:32 PM Nude_MasterDominik UK, 3 yrs  I intend to tattoo with a barcode and registration number My slave: but not sure of what size to go for: after reading the advise above and of course viewing some of the pictural samples I will opting for one on the back at just below collar line. I think 6" x 6" would suffice. My query however is, would a Master, and also a slave, know of reputable tattooists in the UK, within good travel of South Yorkshire. 19 Dec 07, 6:26 AM davida93291 US, 2 yrs  I know you specified a bar code. But why not be more direct. Suggest to her something like: "This slave property of Miss Clo". Or, maybe just "Property of Miss Clo" to reduce the area needed. And I suggest the upper arm rather than the back. That way, your status as her slave is more clearly displayed. Sir had me tattooed with my SLR barcode and number. Our tattoo artist did it the same size as it was on the printout. It scans beautifully and looks remarkable. It is a very difficult tattoo to do so you need to find someone that is good at fine line work. We went to several tattoo artists before we found one that had the skill to do it. 12 Jan 08, 10:34 AM 470-772-848 UK, 18 mths  I am having a tattoo done this year with my slave number incorporated into it. I did think about the barcode and nearly had it done to surprise Master. I have thought about the tatoo for quiye awhile and have hopes for my future owner to havit done. I liked the idea of being able to be scanned, but now I am thinking the actual number might be better. Now that I am writing about it, I am realizing that the choice won't be mine to make any way if I am lucky enough to find a new Mistress. 18 Jan 08, 9:27 PM 000-588-505 US(HI), 4 yrs  you are correct, you should let your Owner mark His/Her slave's body with what they want to have on you to show that you are owned.
