Love it . 21 Feb 08, 11:41 AM Forklift UK, 23 mths uv tattoos are done in exactly the same way as a normal tattoo the only difference is the ink used. It will only show up under a uv light. The risks are the same as with a normal tattoo. But not many tattoo artists use it at the moment 22 Feb 08, 4:35 PM little_linnet US, 3 yrs There is an additional risk to a UV tat, which only applies if you really want the tat invisible: less skilled tattoo artists can overwork the skin with the needle, causing scarring. This is less visible with regular tats because the colored ink covers the scars (although if you know what to look for you can tell it from skin texture). With a UV tat, if you want it to be invisible under regular conditions you have to be careful to pick a skilled tattooist who will not scar your skin. Otherwise you could possibly end up with a visible scar in the shape of your tattoo. Ok, for the tattoo whimps or those still trying to decide where to have a marking, there is a great semi permanent alternative! Henna markings are a great way of 'testing' a spot, also handy for a Master who wishes to mark his slave with a name/punishment/mark that lasts approx six weeks. Henna is readily available in your local Indian community, and so cheap! We picked up a few packets for approx US 30 cents...a bargain! The markings are easy to apply (either freehand or stenciled), take around 15 minutes to dry, scrape it off and you have a funky looking mark for 6 weeks. Perfect for naughty slaves to have comments such as 'bad girl', 'I misbehaved' emblazoned as a semi permanent reminder.. Master marked my butt yesterday, after a rather coquettish comment from myself. It looks fab. Just waiting for the picture to be approved! I have to agree with this, actually. I am also tattooed on the back of my neck. From the very beginning of the process, when Master took me into the tattoo shop, described to the artist what He wanted, turned me around to display the back of my neck, and consulted over sketches, all the while I stood silently waiting, all contributed to that feeling.
