Dog bowls. (27)

A while back my owner mentioned he might in the future enjoy my eating and drinking out of dog bowls (though I don't think he wishes it to progress to puppy play simply enjoys the idea of humiliating me that way or perhaps just watching me struggle). My initial response was to look at him like he grew two more heads and they were all on fire (I was raised 'properly' and know my crab fork from my fish fork so something like this would be imminently hard for me to regress to) then to forget all about it (and his obvious insanity).
Today I was reminded of the conversation and realized in an AHA! moment that dog bowls were in essence props and props could in fact be fancy. I'm the kind of person who begins hobbies because I like the props involved, I took up skiing again (and ski double black diamonds now) simply because I liked the tight ski bunny outfits for example. My owner sometimes humors my whims (because I am so good obviously!! - or at least beg prettily) and I'd like to know if any slaves or owners out there have personalized or otherwise 'pretty' dog bowls and where they might have bought them.
My owner did say it wasn't fun if I wanted to do it but I am a little excited about having a 'fancy' dog bowl set for eating and drinking. I've searched online and haven't really found much I liked except for this set that you can personalize http://www.chowtimeproductions.com/ProductImages... so would love some other ideas. ~magdalena

Have your Master personalize one for you. Sometimes the most simple bowl can be the most beautiful. Example, I went to walmart and bought a simple brushed steel bowl for my pet. Easy to clean, and tough. Then I fount a font on the computer i liked and printed her name in it in large text. I taped it to the bowl and used a dremmel to engrave her bowl for her. It takes time, but will hopefully mean more to you. |

Oh no no no, like your Master I like to make My property drink from a bowl without getting into much full puppy play. So far there has been no specific dog type bowl, just a plastic dish, as Im waiting to find a second hand real dog bowl for that extra touch of indignity.
But I must say I APPLAUD your desire to be glamorous as possible at all times if you can get away with it. My own boy cannot get away with it on this occasion. ~ *Mistress Tiara*

Hmm, this appears to be a common interest.
Master finally bought my 'bowl' yesterday. We'd been searching for ages for a bowl that had shallow enough edges and a wide circumference.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed, dog bowls have impossibly high edges designed for a snout. Not exactly user friendly for a slave!

For Clover, I got her a kitty water/food bowl instead of a dog one, for two reasons:
1. I plan on doing full kitty/pet play with her (though sadly we've been so busy with getting ready to move, I've needed her to be more of a slave girl then a kitty.)
2. Because it fit her very well - Pink, purple and white with "Cat" all over it. I made her drink champagne out of it on New Years and it was really hott and very beautiful to watch her do it. However, sometimes it'll be plain water, sometimes it'll be soda/other drink or even food. It is a very strong plastic and easy to clean.
Good luck and have fun! Owner of Clover - Slave number: 465-186-919.

BA bought mine a week or two before I moved in with him. I believe he got them at WalMart in the pet section. I have two matching bowls. One for drink and one for food. He has put everything from salads, steak, spaghetti, grilled cheese sandwiches to pudding in my bowls. You get used to it after doing it for awhile and it becomes second nature. He cuts the food up into chunks and chains the bowls to me. We don't do any puppy or kitten play, he just likes to watch me eat that way. When I don't eat from them, he feeds me from his plate. I think on my profile page is a picture of my cage and both bowls. Owned and Operated By Brutal Antipathy

I really like the concept behind this bowl from Master Fire's post. The one they display is very expensive, but the design of the wire cage to hold the bowl up off the floor seems like it would be more comfortable for the average human on all fours. Think the shape of the bowl comes pretty close to what petk was looking for too in a bowl more forgiving to a lack of snout. Shouldn't be too difficult to implement the design with cheaper materials I don't think... aspiring slave grey - Currently working closely with GuideOne in the hopes that we've both found what we're looking for in each other.

I have a water dish...I don't have a food dish yet, cause Seth has not really done the eating from a bowl he usually hand feeds zero.
But what I got was a cheap stainless steel bowl from wal mart and painted it.
But the decorating ideas are limitless. Also I have seen metal stands that hold the bolw a big higher for 'bigger dogs' lol
I'll have to search for them.
I am not sure if this is what you were looking for, but good luck.

i'd say just make it pretty yourself!!
add gems or stones and ribbons and well whatever you want really.. paints even. If you do this though it will always only be handwashable and probably not make it through the dishwasher. but then again that might make it more yours with more responsibility to it.
cat bowls tend to have lower 'rises' than dog bows but they are smaller in size too. also dog bowls for smaller dogs are lower rise too (mom has a dachsund)
i still think making it yourself would be adorable!! post a picture if you do it. would love to see!
