Numbskulls, I remember the Numbskulls well, and did compare them to my little idea to ensure I am not merely copying. But nope, no comparison really except the people inside the body thing, I'm thinking more of a teaching aid, how our body bits interact with each other and kind of like, how we may effect one little person, and you can effect the whole world. They say write what you know about, and I'll be kind of skimming off that really. It's something that I have no choice in but to write it, whether it will be sent for publication or not at this point isn't important. I've always found myself agreeing with the stand-up comedy guy who was talking about how his son's teacher asked if they have ADD in the family? At that point he was watching birds outside the window.... oh, shiny object! That kind of behaviour drives my Owner absolutely nuts and he's really working on making me quit that habit, because it's impossible to have one long conversation about one topic with me. I've found as well that a lot of submissives/slaves are very childlike inside. My Owner usually says that childlike behaviour is okay at times - but childishness is never okay. My mother was the first to notice that I do this and, at the time, told me I was like my uncle in that. I have never been diagnosed as ADD, but if this is what it's like, I have it. My uncle and I can get into conversations that just absolutely confuse anyone else. We actually carry on multiple conversations at once. I tend to call it spiral logic. One thought feeds off the other and we end up talking about several things at once. I don't do this to the degree he does. I have accused him of having spiral logic that I can follow, and then the really crazy loop-de-do logic that goes in circles and spirals and triangles and quadrangles all at once. When the conversation is going along nicely and all of a sudden something comes right out of left field. Judging by the preponderance of grasshopper-minded respondees, you're going to be lucky to avoid this. Better add it to the interview stage eh? 'Tell me, do you have little men in your head, talking and making things work?' <giggles> There is one problem with that - if they laugh and get it you're stuck with one that does. If they don't get it, they'll think you're a nutter and run away! SO... the logical corollary of this is that YOU get a slave with Tetleys! <Laughs> On a more serious note, I do think it's important to keep working at sharing. My new habit is to watch for when I DON'T want to share and force myself to do so immediately. If I'm feeling afraid of sharing something I tell him and ask to either be held or to be at his feet, and then let him help me get it out. My tetleys definitely don't mean I don't think about him. They do get in the way at times and he taps me on the top of the head and says 'Tell em to pipe down!' or somesuch joke now. But there's no way he'd quash the 'Oooh daffodils/rainbows/whatever' thing because he loves and cherishes the little girl inside - she makes him smile. I think for what it's worth that this is an intensely valuable thing. A childlike wonder of the world, beauty and the small things that make life better, is a rare and beautiful thing for someone to retain into adulthood (especially a man). It's something that I admired and loved deeply about my father and I'd regard with deep suspicion anyone who was so cynical as to want it gone. To the poster who suffers lockjaw. I think we should try starting another thread with your post as it's a bit lost here even tho it is related. Lemme see if I can help with that.
