I have been wondering if there is anything wrong in brnading a human? I mean we do brand animals and why not humans? If I was to be branded, I would hope whoever owns me would brand me on my right butt cheek. What's your view on being branded and where would you want it done on you? At least with a tattoo, the color covers the scarring. Master won't allow me any permanent marks right now, but when He feels I am ready I would love to get His mark on my left hip or left tushy cheek! (yes, I said tushy!) Some people take to branding well, others don't. It depends on your skin type, scarring history and tolerance for pain. That hurts, a lot. And it's a burn so it continues hurting until you are completely healed. Personally, I have a high tolerance for pain, but not that high. I hope I was helpful!! I'll most probably use a cautery pen as I believe these give most accuracy. My primary concerns are that her skin won't heal properly, having seen 'simple' burns heal (badly) previously and I won't have her go through something like that, though the result 'could be remarkable', because even though we're talking deliberate 'scarification', we'd want it to look nice, and there are not nearly the guarantees we get with reliable tattooing - not on her in any case; she heals real well with skin-art of other kinds though. She will, instead, and in due course, be having two tattoos done; the first on the inside of her left wrist; this one she'll have some input on in choosing the design and colours, etc, but it will have an ownership 'flavour' to it. The second will be either in the middle of her back or the top of her thigh; she won't be part of the decision-making process as to what this tattoo is of, and it will partly consist of ultraviolet ink (if I can find an artist that deals in it) to conceal a personal message of ownership. This will be Master's mark. The thing of her being a complete wuss doesn't enter into it - how she tolerates having tattoos and piercings done is anyone's guess, but she does! My girl has brands. I know many people on both sides of the slash who has brands. It's a body mod just like a tattoo or piercing. And, just like tattoos and piercing, they can be used to denote ownership. For one, yes its like a tattoo but the difference is you can have tat removed, you can not have a brand removed. 2, the scarring on a brand looks bad, from what i have seen. I dont heal well when it comes to cuts and things, i have scars from when i was cut on accident as a child. 3, i know Master wouldnt brand me, because i know his views on Body Modification. He doesnt approve of my tat that i have now, which is brown,on my hip, which means i can cover it easily and it looks like a birthmark.
