I noticed that all the slaves on sale, male and female, had been branded with a number or in some case especially the girls a code or something. When I was there for a day or two almost all the slaves sold were females. They had been branded usually just above their left hip. The brander I used, held the irons @ 3 seconds each. It depends on skin type & color. Sir, With all due respect I would not reccommend the use of a cautery pen, they do not keep an even/regular temp and honestly don't do that great a job. I have been branded 6 times, 2 of which were done by my former Master (2 wolf paws on my inner thighs) all except the wolf paws were done using a heated surgical steel rod, the paws were done using a surgical cautery - the kind that is plugged in and has a knob to keep the temp even and regulated. I love ALL my brands and would LOVE to get more if time and skin space permit, hehehe! BTW all of my brands were done by one artist, Sharrin S. from San Jose Ca.
