You're right about the seizing tho... it's a risk with tramodol... the aussies are not prescribing it in your girl's situation any more from what I have read so be careful and stay in touch with your doc huh?

Ah now, where she's concerned, I just won't do anything that I'm absolutely certain is safe. In referring to Tramadol, I did so because her doctor was the one giving it to her, under the advice that she didn't take it so often (and indeed where half the basis of My OP came from..)
Codeine on the other hand, now there's My favourite; don't ya just love that flat spin ya go into? I use that for Migraine and it fair blows Me away - I dunno what day it is half the time on that stuff (lol) - not that I do anyway, ya understand.
The truth is I very rarely take any kind of pain relief these days in any case because I'd do Myself untold injury of I did without realising it, because I need to know exactly what levels of pain I'm in at any one time.
In regard to things like period pain and epilepsy indicating against medications, I can only suggest what My Girl takes for hers, but that's on her anti-convulsants with her history.
Anyone here is free to memo Me to discuss that; I don't think on-board is appropriate, bandying the names of various drugs around and everyone's medical history is one thing, but I note there was a drug name that doesn't exist given here (having searched about 50 websites, unless a link can be provided?), and that can only be detrimental to health in the long term; it can be critical to spell names of medications properly, or where they were made. That obviously not the case. A bad spelling when talking about someone's medication, or perhaps not knowing what it was called at all, could prove fatal in an emergency situation (reminds Me of a a visit to hospital once, where this woman was filling a form in for her husband, the nurse asks her what medication he was on; she said it was a white tablet, beginning with 'A'...and asked the nurse to help her guess!)
In any case, we all have to be careful with this kinda thing; even if we weren't 'as affected' before, it doesn't mean we won't be the next time we take something - I could swear the Codeine I took previously never used to trip Me out quite like it does now - I guess I'm gettin' more grey hair than I thought!
I wonder if there isn't an appropriate pharmaceutical or hollistic remedy for some PMS'ers (epileptic or otherwise), if there wouldn't be any suitable alternatives, like I dunno (because I really am speculating here..) rekaxation techniques and such for tension, and then pain relief after that when you actually get into your period?
I know My Girl copes pretty well with her monthlies as they go, even though they do get fairly bad in the scheme of things, but there was this girl at My secondary school - never seen anyone like her - every month, pretty much without fail - banshee the week before, then on the floor doubled up for 8 days after, angelic (well, comparitively..) for 2 weeks..
This got a bit ramble-y I know, but all I'm saying 'is' there are many solutions available; I just wonder what the other alternatives are that haven't been tried amongst those here.
