	SD! : Web boards : Ritual : "collaring" collaring (7) Tue 29 Jul 08, 9:17 PM jjsslave 13 mths  Help!!! I'm in need of ideas, I promise not to steal or use anyones words. Master informed me that we are going to start looking for a collar and that I need to write something for the ceramony( not sure if others will be there or just us at this point). While I'm not new to the lifestyle and He's owned me now for going on 9 months, Ive never had to write anything like this. Ive been pondering it for a few days and even when I write something down I end up throwing it out cuz I dont like it. Please if you have any ideas or links to other websites that may have ideas please let me know. Whats crazy is that I'm normally a very calm person , however I'm a little frantic over this I sooo want it to be perfect and I know many of you may say that it needs to come frome the heart and I agree but I still need ideas to go from. Thank you in advance for any ideas you may have. That should do for starters. If it is to be written for others to read, make sure it is all spelt correctly and perhaps have it checked for grammar. Obviously American English in your case. My Owner just collared me 2 sats. past and I was going mental trying to figure out what to do/say! Of course my Owner was calm and said it was up to me to figure out what I wanted that day. Part of the stress was due to the fact we were hand-fasted early that morning. He said He would collar a wife,, but not marry a slave, so that was the reason for the order of events. The hand-fasting was attended by a small group of friends, some in the lifestyle but most not. We did this outdoors at our seasonal campsite where we met. I set up a small altar with mementoes of loved ones who couldn't be there. The man who introduced us was our Priest and his wife the Priestess. It was a short cerermony with simple vows to each other. The collaring took place at the same spot later that night with only the Priest/Priestess and another M/s couple that we count as family and our mentors in the lifestyle in attendance. This was very simple compared even to the short handfasting ceramony. Sir was waiting at the altar with the other Master as His "best man" he handed Sir the collar when I knelt in front of Him. My sisters in service assisted me to kneel ( I have mobilitiy problems, and Sir had provided me with a cushion to support my knees), Sir then asked me several questions, most of which I really cannot remember, I was so nervous... I swore my service/love/plesure and pain to Him . He accepted me and swore to protect/cherish and train me to our mutual pleasure, then locked the collar upon me. Pretty simple after all the weeks of worry and stress eh? Do the best you can to make this what is best for both of you. Simple is usually gonna be easier on your nerves, but only you know what will please you and your Sir best. After it's all done you will wonder what you were so worried about! W/we went shopping together for it, and He placed it around my neck in the car. that was a leather collar, and it broke during one session W/we had later on, and i made it into a bracelet that i still wear. i have 2 other collars, one for work (i teach 2nd grade) and one for play. Master and i have been discussing a more permanant collar for a while, because i have to remove my collar to shower, etc., and keep switching them. well, Master just had me order a new steel Turian collar from Rings of Steel about a half hour ago, the kind with the screw-lock. i am so excited! the collar should arrive here in time for O/our 2 year wedding anniversary next week on friday (Aug. 8) and Master is going to re-collar me in front of some friends. yay!! i think i am more nervous for this than i was for O/our wedding! I hope it's everything you wish for Something I've found helpful when trying to work out what to say with something like this is to think of five words you feel *must* go into the wording... or ten... whatever suits... and work up from there. I find once you have the key words you're looking for things seem to follow from there... not always straight away... but most of the time. Depending on how you intent presenting them ... poetic or just plain wording... sometimes imagining it as a poem... or trying to build it as one... seems to trigger things too... even if you don't intend doing/using a poem.
