I dont know if one has this problem but I would love your input. I wear my collar all the time with the exception of work. I feel the need to have it on all the time. The few times I have worn it at work and when I do I get corporate complaints, you see I train dogs for a living and so people tent to over analyze things, my desire to please my master and the need to support our family monetarily weigh heavy on my mind. my master and I are vary open about who we are and how we live. My question is...are there any other of you that have had to work through this kind of diversity? 26 Aug 08, 4:35 AM 173-682-895 US(NY), 21 mths one option may be to have 2 different collars, one for work & one for outside work. the work one could be less obvious, or you could go with a bracelet/anklet one. i used to wear a choker type one for work, and a more dog type one at home, until i got my new turian-style one, which i wear 27/7 now. i teach school, so i have yet to wear my new one to work. i am eccentric anyway, so i shouldn't have a problem with it as people are used to my bizarre fashion, although the tag will be hidden. hope that helps! Although i do not work outside the home, Master MacCain prefers me home, i have never seen any occasion in which i would be uncomfortable in a collar. The first collar i wore was quite cumbersome, and Master placed it on me only when He wanted my complete submission. Now He has me wear an eternity collar. People outside the "scene" do not even look twice. Honestly, you believe it will send up read flags to the vanilla world, but this is not the case. If your master chooses a collar for you that is not obvious no one will be the wiser. None of my friends or family have so much as commented on mine. Although i am completely at Master's service at all times they still think we have a traditional relationship. No questions. If the collar you wear makes you uncomfortable you might want to have a talk with your master about the possibility of a new one. (We are long distance for now). He recently purchased me a turian style collar that he will be placing on me this weekend! Through the research that we did on this type of collar we found from multiple testimonials that only people from our lifestyle really notice the stainless steel ring that you wear and actually recognize what it symbolizes. They come in many different versions, ones with locks and ones that close with screws, etc. I would recommend looking into one of those. They're there but at the same time they're discreet. If you don't want outsiders to know the true nature of your relationship, then don't go out in the vanilla world wearing a collar or other recognizeable symbol. The general public really isn't as unaware as we'd like to believe. They're not so easily fooled or oblivious to this. Even so, what they don't understand or can't appreciate, they tend to judge negatively. That could become a real issue for you at work, at church, or wherever else. 27 Aug 08, 8:04 AM 635-898-970 US, 11 mths I wear a black leather dog collar when I am not at work. When the buckle it turned to the back it looks looks a choker, and I only do that when I am in public and happen to see family or one of my kids teachers. SMALL town. When I am at work I have a smaller black leather dog collar that I wear on my ankle. I used to wear a leather "dog" collar at home after the children were put to bed and wore an Omega choker with a Triskellion charm 24/7. Recently i found the eternity and Master bought we one. Noone looks twice at it and honestly i dont care if they do. I have only had 2 problems with it. I was in a car wreck back in May right after i got it. When i got to the hospital it had to be removed for the xrays. Master had to hurry and bring me the allen wrench key. Then i had to take it off for all my pysical therapy sessions. The Physical therapies was pretty curious but i didnt let on what it was all about. I now have to keep a spare "key" in my wallet in case of emergancies. Find something that means something to you and your Master and will also be acceptable in the vanella world. You will know the meaning and have that submissive connection and your work wont think twice to question your jewlery. 2 Sep 08, 2:06 AM slavesooze 5 yrs i wear my Master's collar all the time. i have a job which involves constant contact with the public. i am continually amazed by how little notice my Master's Eternity collar gets. But from time to time i do get a "i see you are collared" or "are you a slave" comment, to which i simply reply "YES, i am!" with as much enthusiasm as i can muster. Thank you all for your input, My master and I would love to get an eternity collar. As it stands now I just have to live. Have put a small collar on my ankle but it helps a bit but I still long for it around my neck. I know my only set back is that I work with dogs and most people over analyze. the company I work for is so anal retentive that I have to cover my arms because I have tattooed sleeves and some of my co workers have complained to my corporate office when i do wear my collar 3 Sep 08, 3:20 AM moncherie US(CA), 5 mths You can wear your collar EVERY DAY if you get blouses and sweaters with high necks. I did this for about 2 months when I was first collared and working. It was fun exciting and devious and I loved every minute of wearing my collar in front of my co-workers. And no one ever knew.
