It was something i liked the first time he called me it so we stuck with it. I feel like its a term of endearment and always explain it has his "pet" name for me to the vanella people as he ALWAYS calls me pet now. It was odd in the beginning not hearing the man who i had been married to for 5 years say my real name but a few years ago i thought maybe this M/s life wasnt going to work out and we stopped for a little while and when he would use my real name my heart would just crumble. It didnt sound special, it didnt have that private little message in it that "pet" does. It wasnt long before I was begging for the collar, begging him to call me his "pet". When He uses my real name though it just has a sound to it that isn't there when my husband says it. i know that sounds bad but our poly relationship is based on my Master being the Master of both me and my husband.
