My Master calls me by my name, but also calls me "girl","my girl","baby" or "baby girl". The best part of the day is always my morning call from my Master when he greets me with "good morning girl". Those are the sweetest words in the world to me! All is right with the world and my heart sings when I hear Master refer to me that way. Sometimes if he is displeased with me he will withhold this term of endearment,knowing that i love it (and him) so much, that it is a punishment. I feel like its a term of endearment and always explain it has his "pet" name for me to the vanella people as he ALWAYS calls me pet now. It was odd in the beginning not hearing the man who i had been married to for 5 years say my real name but a few years ago i thought maybe this M/s life wasnt going to work out and we stopped for a little while and when he would use my real name my heart would just crumble. It didnt sound special, it didnt have that private little message in it that "pet" does. It wasnt long before I was begging for the collar, begging him to call me his "pet". I love being His special pet. Sir calls me Sunshine and I love it. Like you I liked it the first time He called me it and it has stuck. Every time I hear Him call me sunshine it makes me feel soooo good and I have come to like it as much or more as my real name. Sunshine is who I really am and not who others want me to be.
