However, I'm having a hard time finding a useful major major leading to a job that makes money and I can do at home. If I work outside of the house, I won't be able to care for him properly because of schedules, etc. Right now, I'm writing a book which I'm hoping to get published, so we think authoring may be the way to go. We'll both need to be pulling in money to live well, though. I strongly advise you to get a regular paycheck job. I put out about 2 books a year and I am not supporting myself. There's simply not very much money in it unless you are Stephen King or J.K.Rowling, and there's only one each of those. It isn't easy to balance the schedules of work and the time your Master needs, but it is possible. Working outside the home does come with sacrifices, but for me at least it has helped me cherish the time have with my Master more, rather than take it for granted. I have a variety of different jobs over the years, mostly in the business area. I have felt most comfortable with doing work in data entry and customer service. However, what job is right for you really depends on what your interest are and what your career goals are. Some colleges offer testing that will show you what careers you will be good at. You may want to check with you advisor to see if your school has such a thing because that could help point you in the right direction. At least out there your hours are pretty much guaranteed and set so you know where you are... you get a set wage at the end of the week whereas working from home can sometimes be 'very' hit and miss... and your off time is just that - off time. I'm not suggesting in the least that you should give up your ideal of working at home... or, heaven forbid, tell you what to do... but merely suggest you might have a re-think to see if your time might be better spent out there. You set up a 'party' where you show samples and people buy from you. It is, tho, one of those need to have money to make money things. If you manage to find a way to make a decent amount of money from home, would you share that info? I could use one. Hope your search is fruitful, and watch out for scams. There are a lot. Good luck. 10 Sep 08, 6:32 PM jjsslave US(OH), 14 mths Avon is a wonderful idea and also what I do, I am also getting ready to start plans of doing holiday baking for those who either cant or dont have time, another thing I do is tarot readings in the home and occasionally tarot parties. I do find this all to keep me busy and while AVON business is picking up it can be a bit time consuming but it works for Master and I. And not to sway anyone but ive found some great AVON products that Master loves too. I am on Disability (Although the reason is not a lucky one, Kidney Disease) and so have some income I contribute. I also sell for Pure Romance which is sex toy parties for women It's a lot of fun and when I'm organized and not suffering too much from medical issues is a healthy side income. If you have the ability to get organized keep organized and the time to put into such a thing it can be a great side job. Then again being a stay at home Mom is also -very- much a full time position.
