While I agree that this a main part of O/our lives. What about the rewards for good behavior ect? I'm just wondering if any of you other masters have a reward system like my master does? it does not have to be extravagant. most the of the time mine is a praising email or a tender caress on the face. Master usually gives a lot of verbal praise, such as a good girl etc, after I've completed a task or unquestioned obedience to a new command or whatever. He will also sometimes surprise me with one of my favorite “activities” and tell me it's a reward for being such a good girl. Now if I've been very very very good Master may pop up with a small gift or flowers occasionally. No wrong ideas though. I'm definitely not a pampered princess! The one that makes me the absolute happiest is when He pulls me aside and tells me that He has been very aware of how much effort I have been putting forth to become the best slave for Him I can be and that He is very pleased with both my initiative and effort on my own and the results. He also keeps a journal of His own and allows me to read what He has written at times. As I read it I feel a sense of praise and happiness as I can tell that I am making Master happy and content. Usually they are completely out of the blue and something so little that only we know the significance of it... the silly little things he remembers I like if that makes sense... Like smelling the coffee jar when you pop the seal. Hmm I suppose otherwise rewards are just similar words of praise. Master isn't naturally inclined to talking dirty, but sometimes if he's really enjoying himself he'll put in more of an effort because he knows it turns me on. Most physical gifts tend to be more of the I-think-you-need-this-and-it-irritates-me-that-you- don't-have-it sort (hello computer doodads) or societally mandatory holiday prezzies. Oh! I almost forgot! Once he brought me the most epic bubble blowing apparatus I've ever seen because it was a dollar at Walmart and I enjoy bubbles. Do any of you have something similar? my late Master rewarded good behavior with Orgasm, paying attention to me, taking me for a country ride and/or dinner, listening to classic rock and singing along on said ride if i was REALLY good - and the best of all, a good hug. He surely could hug! i miss that most. He also sometimes baked up goodies or gave me chocalate - which is why i'm so sweet, being a diabetic who cheats. (grin) And to me, just His presence, even if He was busy on the computer doing something else, before i lost mobility, i'd sit on the floor at His feet or kneel and put my head either in His lap or on His feet, respectively. i took comfort their - esp. as He'd absent-mindedly pat my head when i was sitting next to Him, head in lap. She loves them. So during sessions, when training her on a new task or skill, I keep a jar of them close by. When she has perfected the item in question, I give her a cherry. Very sexy seeing the syrup drip onto her tongue before she takes it. I also pick up a gift for her every month. Its always something from an adult store, bdsm related. She always knows I will buy it, whatever it is. If she is bad, it stays in the bag in our private closet. If she is a good girl, she gets the gift. In training, reward is equally as important as punishment. Even reward can be instructional. Its all about reinforcing positive behavior, and punishing bad behavior. Whether this be on the phone or on the computer, when He says "good girl" I know He really means it. Though Master also reminds me gently, even when I am bad, that does not make me a bad girl. He says if I seek to correct bad behavior or actions then I am still, and always will be, His good girl. I still receive punishment, and because I am new at this, I tend to mess up, so punishment is usually another form of training. But no matter what I am always reminded that I am His good girl. Always.
