My master and I are in a bit of a dilemma. We find ourselves in a lot of circumstances where I can not address him as master, we have looked up words meaning master in a few other languages but nothing has sparked an interest. Any ideas?

Pick something that has the same meaning for you but is unrelated Master Dante is "Papi" if Master doesn't work for the people around us and my pet name for him if "Papi" doesn't work. Amo and Dueño are 2 spanish words and to nonspeakers and people who havent learned the other meaning amo will be assumed to mean love or lover.

Master Dante's girl~ Screw the roses... wait you say i get both Yes Master!!!~

I have to agree that is you are uncomfortable with public responses that may be looked down upon in you opinion, that you look for alternative "pet" names. However, I personally do not think that it is so much the name or title involved, as the actions demonstrated.

Maintain your rules and demeanor. I personally find that it is just as fulfilling when my kitten obliges me publically by just adhering to our rules.

Take this as you may and clear it with your master first, but I find it an acceptable alternative.

Dude.

;-)

I had a friend who referred to her husband as "himself" as if she were talking about royalty (which is how she explained it). But, that's not really a title.

How about a nickname/pet name? It doesn't have to be gooey sweet.

Would "Sir" be as uncomfortable? W/we find it just as respectful with out throwing red flags all around.

p

I breathe because He allows me to, indulging Him indulges me.

I agree. My slave and I have have recently changed to using the title of "Sir". It is a respectful yet idealistic pet name that may be used in public and private.

Sir in the UK would feel out of place if a woman called her perceived equal partner just that! I wouldn't feel happy at all if my daughters heard that! It is more commonly used in the US generally it seems. For a while we said My Love which was the same lettering as My Liege and we knew what it meant. As has been said though, often even someones name can have all the meaning necessary in how it is used/said versus the name itself.

I generally address my master with his name when we are in public, i occasionally call him sir. When W/we are together alone i always address him as Master.

Funny story though, the other day i was sleeping at His desk at His workplace, when He asked me what i would like to eat, of course i responded "Whatever Master wishes me to eat" i didn't realise that one of His employees were sitting right accross the room untill i woke up some more and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. <.< Awkward.

My slave and I have no problem with her addressing me as "Sir" in most public situations, but there are times when she will just call me Master anyway. I also call her by her nickname when it would be sadly inappropriate to call her slave.

There's really no reason why you can't use his name. With impeccable grace, respect and deference, of course.

Now I'm going to marry my first wife, then I'm going to divorce her. Now, I know what you're going to say, but stick with me, my story gets better! I'm going to marry my second wife, then I'm going to kill her! Cut her head off! Ah, you weren't expecting that, were you? Third wife, going to shoot her!

My boy simply uses Miss or Kate in public. I don't see why Sir or his name, used respectfully of course, wouldn't work.

Miss Kit.
